The Next Generation RF Sensors Management Software Department mission is to provide world class Software for our customers' wide array of RF/EOIR and high-energy laser sensor products for airborne and space applications. Our software capabilities include software requirement development, design, modeling/simulation, real-time embedded, signal processing and data processing, infrastructure software, software testing, integration, and verification. Next Gen RF Sensors SW team in El Segundo CA is looking to add a Software Engineer to their development team.
We align to multiple SW development methodologies including the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers.
What You Will Do
Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering builds
Demonstrate critical thinking skills, the ability to thrive in small, empowered teams, and an intense desire to directly enable our customer's success
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency in complex environments
Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including system architecture and design specifications
Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement
Work collaboratively with multiple engineering disciplines to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++, or Java, or similar high-level programming languages
Experience with Scripting languages
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Clearly communicate plans, status, and issues to teammates and program leadership
Ensure the successful integration of software components into delivered products
Experience in Object Oriented and scripting languages
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
Experience working in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with developing, testing, and integrating software using Java/C / C++ or modern software development language
Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
Software development lifecycle experience
Well developed communications skills and team collaboration skills
Self-motivated
Proven ability and desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer
Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, and DevSecOps
Familiarity with MS Office or similar productivity applications

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
