Position Summary The People Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the People Operations team by providing administrative support for daily operations and assisting with compliance tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all duties will be performed by all incumbents) 1. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information and ensure compliance with People Operations policies and organizational standards. 2. Deliver exceptional customer service to internal team members and external applicants. 3. Organize and file documents such as job descriptions, signed offer letters, performance evaluations, and training certifications in both physical and electronic systems. 4. Notify staff of new hires through approved communication channels in accordance with organizational policy and regulatory requirements. Ensure all notifications are timely, accessible, and documented to maintain compliance with applicable laws and company standards. 5. Handle procurement for People Operations supplies and materials. 6. Manage and oversee staff apparel orders by facilitating clear communication with team members, placing orders for new employees, and maintaining consistent, ongoing correspondence with vendors to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction. 7. Provide backup support for front desk assistants when needed, including greeting visitors and answering phones. Additional Duties and Responsibilities 1. Must work closely with other Ariel Programs and offices. 2. Performs other duties as assigned. ### Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Excellent customer service. 2. This position requires that the incumbent be capable of bending, sitting, stretching, and/or reaching regularly for periods up to two hours without a break. 2. This position requires that the incumbent have adequate hand and finger dexterity to properly perform the functions of the position. 3. This position requires lifting regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. 4. This position requires the ability to hear, see, smell, and distinguish temperature, at a level which is adequate to ensure client and staff health and safety. Adaptive devices are acceptable.
