Job Description
The Treasury Payment Solutions, Prepaid National Sales Manager is responsible for leading U.S. Bank's national prepaid sales organization and driving growth across government, commercial, corporate, higher-education, and consumer prepaid programs. This role oversees a geographically dispersed team, manages strategic pursuits including complex RFPs, expands market presence through direct and partnership-based channels, and ensures disciplined execution of pipeline, revenue, and portfolio growth targets.
The position requires strong leadership, deep expertise in prepaid payment solutions, and the ability to drive measurable results in a matrixed environment aligned with Treasury Payment Solutions (TPS), Institutional Client Group (ICG), Community and Business Banking (CBB) and other partner teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a national team of Prepaid Sales Managers and Relationship Managers, ensuring consistent accountability and performance excellence.
Communicate strategic direction, role alignment, and organizational changes across the Prepaid Sales structure (e.g., Corporate, Government, Higher Education, Specialized Industries).
Foster a high-performance culture focused on revenue growth, collaboration, and disciplined execution.
Deliver annual revenue targets by overseeing execution of national sales strategy, including direct sales, government procurement opportunities, and strategic partnership channels.
Drive net-new logo acquisition across government, corporate, and institutional sectors through RFP leadership, relationship expansion, and consultative selling.
Utilize outside sales channels where needed to expand business development reach (e.g., fintech, payroll processors, industry partnerships).Oversee and optimize a national pipeline across multiple industries and client segments, ensuring accuracy and predictable revenue performance.
Partner with Relationship Managers, ICG teams, Treasury Management, and industry specialists to advance opportunities from lead to close.
Lead competitive responses to large state, public-sector, and enterprise prepaid RFPs, ensuring compliance and strategic fit.
Work with Corporate Counsel on negotiation of terms, risk reviews, and contracting strategy.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in prepaid, payments, treasury management, or financial services solutions selling.
Proven success leading sales teams with multi-million-dollar growth expectations.
Deep understanding of prepaid card products, government disbursement programs, corporate expense programs, and related payment ecosystems.
Experience managing complex RFP responses and negotiating contract terms with public and private entities.
Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills across matrixed organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling into federal, state, local, and higher-education verticals.
Familiarity with Salesforce opportunity management, AML/KYC processes, and enterprise sales governance.
Demonstrated track record of driving outside-channel sales motions (fintech, integration partners, third-party distributors).
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills including presenting to large audiences.
Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00
