Engineering Operations Manager

Our client, a leading organization in the engineering and technical services sector, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Engineering Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. As an Engineering Operations Manager, you will be an integral part of the Engineering & Maintenance department supporting operational excellence and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Remote/Engineering Operations Manager

Location: Houston, TX

Hybrid but mostly remote but will involve travel to a supplier site 1-2/week

What's the Job?

Manage and oversee mechanical and electrical operations across multiple sites within Houston.

Coordinate daily activities, establish work schedules, and assign tasks to ensure operational efficiency.

Supervise and mentor team members, monitor performance, and facilitate staff development.

Direct contractors, subcontractors, and engineering teams on maintenance and operational tasks.

Support budget preparation, forecast costs, and manage operational expenses effectively.

What's Needed?

3-5 years of relevant operations experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including welding, electrical engineering, fabrication, and assembly operations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

College degree or equivalent experience; membership in an engineering professional body is preferred.
