Job Title: Medical Technologist II

Location: Plymouth Meeting, Pa

Hours/Schedule: 1st shift

Responsibilities:

Performs routine and complex laboratory testing in accordance with established competencies and SOPs

Follows all pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures for specimen handling, testing, and reporting

Monitors, documents, and troubleshoots QC, maintenance, and calibration activities per regulatory standards

Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instruments; escalates unresolved issues to the Supervisor

Participates in proficiency testing and maintains compliance with PT requirements

Assists with maintaining and updating laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation

Supports supervisor in ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies

Performs method validations, linearity, and parallel studies as assigned

Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment; adheres to safety and HIPAA requirements

Manages laboratory inventory and communicates supply needs proactively

Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related science (or CLIA-qualifying education/experience)

4+ years of experience

Meets CLIA requirements, including 24 credits in Biology/Chemistry plus high-complexity lab experience

Strong basic laboratory skills: micropipetting, solution preparation/dilution, aseptic technique, and instrument operation

Ability to read and interpret scientific literature

Works independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Experience with ELISA and/or radioimmunoassays (Preferred)

High-volume micropipetting experience (Preferred)

Experience in a CLIA-licensed diagnostic laboratory (Preferred)
