Sales Assistant

Description We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team in Covina, California. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional service to customers while supporting retail operations for a nonprofit organization. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and develop your sales expertise.

Responsibilities:

Provide friendly and attentive customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper records.

Assist with data entry tasks to support inventory and sales tracking.

Manage incoming donations by sorting and organizing items appropriately.

Support retail operations by maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and provide product recommendations.

Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking merchandise as needed.

Follow organizational policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Requirements - Previous experience in customer service, retail, or sales is preferred but not required.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Basic cash handling skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with data entry and inventory management processes.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
