We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Medium Voltage Research and Development team in Research Triangle Park, NC . In this role, you will help shape innovative solutions that drive the next generation of AC motor drives and converters.

You'll work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment where your ideas and expertise will directly influence product design, performance, and sustainability.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new products, from concept to detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings.

Select materials and perform analysis to ensure strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness, including stress simulations and environmental considerations.

Proto@type and test designs to validate performance and safety, refining solutions through iterative improvements.

Collaborate across teams -electrical engineers, software developers, product managers, and manufacturing-to ensure seamless integration and efficient production.

Apply DFM/DFA principles to create designs that are easy and cost-effective to manufacture and assemble.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with strong technical ability.

1-3 years of experience in product development or mechanical design.

Proficiency in CAD tools (preferably Creo) and familiarity with PDM systems and GD&T .

Strong understanding of project timelines and ability to work in a team environment.

Knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word); exposure to electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E) is a plus.
