Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) Delivery Program Engineer (Southwest Ohio)
This role is in Southwest Ohio as part of the Ford Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) Organization
We are seeking motivated professionals with a passion for excellence in Manufacturing, Problem Solving, and driving robustness into the PTME Engineering factory. This position reports to the PTME Delivery team Program Manager or Program Leader as a Delivery Program Engineer. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of PTME program deliverables and will be leading PTME launch teams through all phases of Manufacturing Program Delivery from the early cost study phase through rate of climb (ROC)

Early Phase - Powertrain Program Tasks - Program Start thru OEM Equipment Delivery / Retool & New process equipment.
Program Timing - MS Excel project timing summary for key milestones with monthly, weekly, and daily templates depending on scope of work.
Program Timing - Work independently and with program timing function to create MS Project timing database and input into Program schedule, report outputs.
Program Timing - Lead OEM (Equipment Supplier) timing oversight and timing meeting coordination - inputs to master schedule and project timing summaries.
Program Financials - Lead / Support the initial program funding activity with the financial analyst. Serve as the main contact for the program financials.
Program Financials - Update Indicated Cost Tracking documents and Program Checkbook
Program Reporting - Lead / Support updates / publish of various program review decks and program reporting metrics.
Program Reviews - Lead New Program Review discipline.
Product Engineering Partnership - Interface with System and Component Product, Manufacturing, Support Teams (SPMT, CPMT)
Program Disciplines - Lead / Support Program Deliverable (Integrator) assessments, monitor and track issues to closure, engage with plant floor "whiteboard" activity from installation start through commissioning.
Program Quality - Lead / Support LRCA, LQOS activity and process confirmation for the application of the PTME QOS for the new program. Coordinate any internal / external quality audit process.
Equipment Readiness - Lead / Support the Machine Tryout [MTO] - Make Like Production [MLP] Part Ordering process & track status.
Equipment Readiness - Support the spare part writing process with the Process Engineering, Plant Production and GME Teams.
Workforce Planning - Lead / Support Installation and Commissioning skilled trade allocation requirements.
Program Issue Management - Lead / Support AIM issues management system tracking and closure.
Program Change Control - Lead / Support engineering change control activity and global coordination.
Late Phase - Powertrain Program Tasks - Program Launch
Program Launch Planning - Lead / Support coordination of pre-production build activity.
Program Launch Reporting - Lead / Support program scorecard activity / review discipline from Launch Readiness () thru OK to Buy ().
Program Launch Execution - Lead / Support Production Trial Run (PTR) activity including serial number tracking, issue documentation, and engineering review to issue closure.
Program Launch Data Management - Utilize Machine Monitoring Reporting Tools (FIS, IIOT) to support new program team through completion of launch (Rate of Climb - ROC).
Minimum Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in similar field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred)
2+ years' experience in high-volume production or manufacturing environment.
Manufacturing floor experience required.
Project Or Program Management / Coordination / Communication Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong presentation skills with experience creating and delivering presentations.
Experience supporting program launches.
Preferred Experience:
Manufacturing floor related/Manufacturing plant based.
