We are looking for an enthusiastic Data Engineerwho demonstrates great communication skills, curiosity, and a desire to learn a new business and its supporting technical processes. This is an exciting role to support modern Data solutions.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. W2 Rate $30-$39/hr
Responsibilities:
Handle the design and construction of scalable management systems, ensure that all data systems meet company requirements, and also research new uses for data acquisition.
Required to know and understand the ins and outs of the industry such as data mining practices, algorithms, and how data can be used.
Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems.
Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and proto@types.
Ensure that all systems meet the business/company requirements as well as industry practices.
Integrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
Create custom software components and analytics applications. Research new uses for existing data.
Employ an array of technological languages and tools to connect systems together.
Collaborate with members of your team (eg, data architects, the IT team, data scientists) on the project's goals.
Install/update disaster recovery procedures.
Recommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality.
Experience Requirements:
Must-have technical skill sets, in priority order:
Snowflake - Modern data warehousing
dbt - SQL-based transformations, testing, and documentation.
DataStage - Legacy ETL support during migration.
SQL - Advanced queries and optimization.
ETL/ELT Development - Pipeline design and orchestration.
CI/CD - Git-based deployment and automation
Nice-to-have technical skill set:
AWS / Azure / GCP - Cloud storage, compute, and IAM fundamentals.
Python & Shell scripting - Automation and data processing.
Data Modeling - Normalized and dimensional models.
Data Validation Frameworks - e.g., dbt tests or Great Expectations.
Metadata Management - Cataloging and lineage tracking.
REST / SOAP APIs - Integration with external systems
Candidate must demonstrate great communication skills, curiosity, and a desire to learn a new business and its supporting technical processes. Three or more years of applied technical experience desired.
Education Requirements:
Qualifications: Technical Degree or related work experience.
