In the role of Intern Environmental, we'll count on you to:- Offer real-world experience on exciting projects- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs- Perform other duties as needed- Work on diverse remedial engineering projects that will range from general field support during investigation/construction and soil/groundwater/air sampling to technical work that requires strong communication skills- Have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.- Assist junior engineers in environmental remediation projects involving feasibility studies, pre-design investigation, remedial design, remedial action, and post construction activities.- Complete project subtasks that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables.- Interpret data (chemical analyses and historical investigation data) and summarize it in tables, charts, and maps.- Perform other duties as needed.Preferred Qualifications- 2.5 years completed toward a degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry- Preference is given to local candidates- Strong commitment to safety, including following health and safety protocols- Ability to work as part of a team- Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding sampling tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).Required Qualifications - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental Engineering or related program- Attention to detail- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills- Basic Microsoft Office skills- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
