Compensation

$70 - $72 / hour

Position Summary

The Engineering Manager leads the engineering function for RailWorks projects, overseeing design, technical standards, and quality assurance to ensure safe and efficient rail infrastructure delivery.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Manage engineering teams in the planning, design, and review of rail construction projects.

Ensure engineering deliverables meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.

Develop and maintain design standards, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.

Coordinate with operations, construction, and project management teams.

Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and calculations.

Mentor and develop engineering staff, promoting professional growth.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership.

P.E. or P.Eng. license preferred.

Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure and construction practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Primarily office-based, with occasional site visits to rail projects.

Frequent sitting, reading, writing, and computer use.

Occasional walking, standing, or exposure to construction environments during site visits.
