Job Description
We're seeking an experienced AI/Cloud Native Developer Lead to lead our team in developing innovative AI and cloud-native applications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AI, cloud computing, and software development, with strong Python expertise to design, build, and support AI-enabled, cloud-native applications within Oracle Cloud (OCI) and Oracle SaaS / PaaS environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Strong expertise in Python, including:
Debugging and refactoring large, complex codebases
Performance tuning and memory optimization
Experience integrating and troubleshooting Generative AI / LLM frameworks, such as:
OCI Generative AI services
LangChain
Vector databases / embeddings
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application management
Experience with Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS):
CI/CD pipelines
Automated build and deployment workflows
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles
Familiarity with OCI services (Compute, Object Storage, Logging, Monitoring, IAM)
Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex production issues
Experience working in SLA-driven, customer-facing support environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple incidents and deliverables
10 or more years of software engineering or related experience
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (unless in the Bay Area, then there would be reduced travel)
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead development and support of Python-based cloud-native services running on OCI
Debug, refactor, and optimize large, complex Python codebases in production
Design, integrate, and troubleshoot LLM / Generative AI solutions, including:
OCI Generative AI SDK
LangChain-based workflows
Embeddings and vector stores
Build, optimize, and maintain Docker images and manage containerized workloads
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS)
Ensure reliable deployments, rollbacks, and environment consistency
Implement and enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting for production workloads
Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents within SLA commitments
Act as a technical escalation point for Production issues
Mentor developers and establish coding, deployment, and support best practices
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
