BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director Sales Enablement is responsible for leading and managing cross functional Sales Enablement and Go To Market (GTM) Engagements that are derivatives of the Joint Business Planning Process between Business Units and Suppliers. This leader will build, coach, and develop a team of four Regional Sales Enablement Managers, National Supplier Programming and Communications Manager and Enablement Analytics Manager. The Director will work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Segment Marketing, Marcom, Business Intelligence, Sales, eCommerce, and others to develop and manage an overall budget and calendar to enable the successful execution of supplier funded programs to drive profitable growth. The position requires regular communication with senior leaders across various streams within the company, coordination externally with supplier partners, presenting updates and suggesting refinements for increased results. This role serves as a driver for converting supplier programming into customer growth across all MSC sales enablement channels and will have a relevant sales lift target as key indicator of success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives business unit initiatives taking into account cross functional input from Merchandising, Business Intelligence, Sales, Customers, Supplier community, Business Units, Learning and Development, Marcom and eCommerce.
Aligns work to Joint Business Plans executing strategies from conception through to execution to redirection and results.
Collaborates with cross-functional leadership teams to define scope, budget, and timelines while delivering best in class customer experience.
Harnesses inputs from various MSC Sales channels (ex. Field Sales, Telesales, Business Development, eCommerce) to gain intelligence on MSC customer insights and needs.
Works with Business Intelligence, Customer Analytics, Finance and Marketing Automation & Operations teams to align/support associated performance metrics/reports for select strategic category initiatives.
Partners with Category Strategy, Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, and Business Intelligence teams for periodic reviews to analyze program outcomes, provide insights and recommendations for enhancement and changes as required.
Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent area of study or equivalent experience is required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience required.
Experience in driving cross functional initiatives.
Direct report and team management experience.
MS Office Suite proficiency required; MS Excel Intermediate skill level or above required.
Strong execution focus; drive for results.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Strong problem-solver; able to diagnose quickly and find root cause.
Able to apply analytics to identify opportunities and rate performance.
Prioritizes deliverables and allocates resources appropriately.

Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience in Category Management, Sales, Channel Management or Marketing preferred.
AS400, Salesforce and SharePoint experience preferred.
Familiarity with internal reporting platforms such as Tableau, Data team metrics preferred.

A valid driver's license may be required.
Position requires up to 20% of travel
This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information ( ITAR ) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information ( CUI )
Compensation starting at $127750 - $200750 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
