Accounts Receivable Clerk - 1st Shift

Location: Raymore, MO

Pay: Based on experience

Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts. This role is responsible for posting payments, maintaining accurate account records, handling customer inquiries, and working closely with sales and other departments to ensure account accuracy and timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:

Post and apply customer payments (checks, cash, EFT, online bill pay, NSF, driver payments)

Research and resolve account discrepancies, credits, and disputes

Maintain accurate customer account records, notes, and contact information

Perform collection activities following company SOPs and Nevada credit law

Make courtesy calls and follow up on account statuses

Manage and reconcile a portfolio of approximately 1,000 customer accounts

Distribute monthly statements

Communicate payment status and term changes to customers and sales

Provide high-level customer service while handling a large volume of calls and requests

Work independently while meeting deadlines and accuracy standards

Qualifications:

Accounts Receivable Clerk experience, preferably in a warehouse or light industrial setting

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to handle high-volume accounts in a fast-paced environment

Strong problem-solving skills with a professional and positive attitude
