Overview
The Adult Living Donor Coordinator performs all activities related to the assigned Transplant Program, maintaining the resources needed for success. The coordinator provides direct patient and family care across the continuum from pre-donation, during donation and post-donation, in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. The coordinator provides education to patients/families, hospital staff, and the community utilizing Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) and United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) resources. The coordinator adheres to clinical practice guidelines, integrates applicable regulatory and practice standards, and participates in quality improvement and research activities.

Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care across the continuum from pre-donation, donation, and post donation periods.
Provides education to patients/families, hospital staff, and the community.
Integrates CMS, OPTN, UNOS and individual Transplant Program standards in practice guidelines and participates in ongoing quality improvement and research activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree BSN and 3-5 years experience Pediatric or Adult clinical experience, experience as a transplant coordinator strongly preferred
One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
Refer to Nursing and Advance Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) within 3 years of hire Required

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $39.86/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children's Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
