Expectations
Customer Service - serves at the primary point of contact for families, providing timely and effective service for all inquiries and needs.
Answering Phones and directing calls
Greeting and assisting Guests, parents, and students
Checking guests in and out for security purposes
Handling faxes, copies, paperwork, etc.
Clerical Tasks
Data entry of essential student information into student management software and other platforms.
As assigned
Security/student help
Tracking students to/from nurse
Assisting security, nurse, clinic with retrieving students
Updating records as needed
Dismissal
Assisting with walker line
Calling parents for late pick-ups
Translation (Spanish, as needed)
Phone translation for parent/guardian class
Assisting with in-person translation
Translating written communications
Attendance and Enrollment support
Processing tardy/early dismissals
Inputting absences
Maintain real-time attendance records
Communicates with teacher, administration, safety and family
Mail/packages
Receiving, sorting and distributing mail and packages
Financial/Fee Handling
Collecting and tracking student fees
Perform other duties that may be assigned to assist in the flow of information amongst staff and/or families.
Professional
Communicate proactively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues, providing frequent updates on student progress, classroom activities, and school initiatives.
Work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues, supervisors, students, parents/guardians, and community members, maintaining positive, solution-oriented relationships that foster a strong, inclusive environment for optimal learning.
Continuously seek professional growth through building and department meetings/professional development, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars/in-services.
Serve with a flexible, open heart that recognizes no duty is outside the scope of your role--we are a team that is stronger together in service of our students.
What We're Looking For
Demonstrated belief in the potential of every child and a commitment to supporting excellence for each student.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Office Administration or Secretarial Training preferred .
Active participation in a Christian church.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Bilingual Spanish fluency (written and spoken) required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong initiative.
Prior experience in a busy office setting with strong multitasking abilities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to understand and maintain strict confidentiality.
Demonstrated keyboarding proficiency ( 55+ WPM ).
Proficiency with office and web-based programs; Google Workspace preferred .
Reliable transportation.
