Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will act as a financial advisor and controller for designated business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls. You will also play a key role in enhancing accounting processes, providing technical expertise, and delivering actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Prepare and analyze financial forecasts and reports to support strategic planning and operational decisions.

Oversee compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS, as well as internal control procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain the accuracy of account reconciliations.

Provide technical accounting expertise and operational guidance to internal stakeholders.

Lead initiatives aimed at improving accounting efficiency, accuracy, and system functionality.

Coordinate with auditors to facilitate internal and external audit processes.

Mentor accounting staff at the entry level to enhance team capabilities and ensure consistency in applying systems and procedures.

Support manufacturing cost accounting activities, including labor and material analyses.

Identify and address financial risks to ensure operational continuity and reporting accuracy. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

7 years of full-cycle accounting experience.

At least 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing accounting.

Proficiency in ERP software

Strong analytical skills with knowledge in cost accounting and inventory management.

Advanced Excel skills, including VBA and complex formulas.

Solid understanding of financial controls and reporting standards like GAAP and IFRS.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information effectively.
