The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Forest is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will provide clerical and office support to your assigned institution. You will be responsible for filing, typing a variety of documents, and inputting data for various departments within the institution, operate office equipment and maintaining computer databases and records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. Must understand how to efficiently use and navigate a PC

One (1) year or more of experience with the Microsoft systems (Word/Excel/Outlook, etc.) and other software packages to create and maintain spreadsheets/calendars/documents/rosters etc. Ability to work with various office equipment such as: scanner, printer, fax machine, computer, tablet, telephone, personal communication devices etc. Previous experience working in an office setting as a clerk and or personal assistant Proficient keyboarding skills Ability to multitask You must be able to perform essential job functions.
