Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Franklin, Wisconsin. In this role, you will provide vital support to the accounting and HR departments by managing accounts payable, processing expenses, and reconciling credit card transactions. This is a part-time, onsite position with flexible hours and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify weekly travel expense reports, ensuring accurate coding and proper documentation.

Reconcile company credit card transactions with receipts and maintain accurate records in the financial system.

Monitor and manage the shared accounting inbox to address inquiries and process accounts payable invoices promptly.

Collaborate with the Accounting Administrator to ensure timely and accurate handling of financial transactions.

Assist with manual filing and maintaining paper-based financial documents.

Support international expense report processing, including verifying currency conversions.

Enter and organize financial data into spreadsheets and accounting software for reporting and tracking purposes.

Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures during all accounting activities. Requirements - A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.

Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools.

Strong skills in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.

Familiarity with manual and paper-based accounting processes.

Experience in coding invoices and reconciling financial transactions.
