This position is eligible for telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. As an Integrated Conflict Management System (ICMS) Service Facilitator for the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), you will maintain a positive productive work environment that responds to and learns from destructive forms of conflict for effective functioning of our agency.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

Conduct conflict facilitation services as designated within the Integrated Conflict Management System (ICMS) for DHS.

Conduct skill and relationship development services as designated within the Integrated Conflict Management System (ICMS) for DHS.

Assist the ICMS Coordinator in coordinating ICMS services.

Minimum Qualifications

To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.

Two (2) years of experience performing training, knowledge, and experience in the principles and practices of restorative philosophy, alternative dispute resolution (transformative or facilitative mediation), and integrated conflict management systems.

Bachelor's degree in peace and conflict studies, conflict resolution, psychology, or another closely related degree;

AND

One (1) year of experience performing conflict management training and/or experience in the principles and practices of restorative philosophy, alternative dispute resolution (transformative or facilitative mediation), and integrated conflict management systems.

Experience must also demonstrate:

Conducting conflict facilitation services.

Evaluating problems of a procedural nature and applying techniques to deal with those problems.

Practical experience applying conflict management principles at an organization or business.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong human relations and communication skills; communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing; respond flexibly to requests and concerns.

Minnesota State Neutrals roster also known as the Minnesota Statewide ADR-Rule 114 Neutrals Roster.

Knowledge of the agency's organizational structure and how the ICMS function relates to that structure.

Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions to guide, solicit and explore diverse perspectives.

Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
