Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a Secret Clearance to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This on-site role will focus on developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of our web applications.

The Full Stack Developer will design, develop, and maintain web applications from conception to deployment, supporting AMC's business process improvement and technology adoption. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating efficient, scalable, and user-friendly solutions, with the ability to work across the entire technology stack. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the growth of our organization's digital capabilities as part of our mission to direct all command, control, communications, and information technology (C4IT) functions across AMC and its subordinate commands.
Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications
Gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications
Design, develop, and maintain APIs, ensuring interoperability between systems
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, following user-centered design principles
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security
Implement security and data protection measures in compliance with DoD/Army cybersecurity policies
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture discussions
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software
Follow DevSecOps methodology and integrate solutions into AMC's Continuous Innovation and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that meets government security requirements
Contribute to technical documentation and support user training
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Stay informed of emerging industry trends and technologies
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent practice experience)
5+ years of professional experience in full stack development
Proven track record of delivering applications from conception to deployment
Strong background in integrating security into the development lifecycle
Experience with various development approaches (no-code, low-code, professional development)
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices
Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
Strong experience with server-side programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or C#
Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
Knowledge of web servers and RESTful API design
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Understanding of fundamental design principles for building web applications
Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Knowledge of testing and debugging processes
Experience with Agile development methodologies, especially Scrum
Understanding of security and data protection best practices, including DoD cybersecurity requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with ITIL V4 framework
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with GraphQL
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
Open-source project contributions
Experience with UI/UX design principles
Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI)
Knowledge of ServiceNow platform development
Experience with low-code/no-code development platforms
Certifications in relevant technologies or frameworks
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
Experience with implementing Zero Trust architecture principles
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning concepts
