Responsibilities

: The McCoy School of Engineering at Midwestern State University invites applications for a full-time 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin Spring 2026. As a faculty member in the McCoy School of Engineering you will be expected to:

1.Teach courses in electrical engineering;

2.Develop a record of research activity,

3.Provide service to the department, college, and university,

4.Advise/mentor electrical engineering students.

The ability to develop and teach a broad number of basic electrical engineering courses and labs such as integrated circuit design, digital signal processing, embedded and real-time systems, electrical power design, and senior design is desired.

Requirements

: Required Qualifications include:

1.Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent field of study (ABD applicants must have degree conferred by December 2025);

2.Preference given to those with ABET accreditation and mentoring of senior capstone projects experience;

3.The ability to develop and teach a broad number of basic electrical engineering courses and labs such as integrated circuit design, digital signal processing, embedded and real-time systems, electrical power design, and senior design is desired;

4.The selected candidate should have a vested interest in undergraduate teaching, research, and service.

The McCoy School of Engineering houses a BS in Mechanical Engineering (MENG) program, a BS in Industrial Technology (BSIT) program, a MS in Industrial Technology program, a minor in Petroleum Engineering (PETE), and we are starting the BS in Electrical Engineering program.
