Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audio Video Project Manager to oversee and manage AV projects. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Project Management experience leading complex audio-visual initiatives, a strong technical background , and familiarity with AV industry standards and best practices.
This position involves collaboration with clients across diverse environments, including conference rooms, divisible rooms, auditoriums, educational facilities, and commercial AV installations, with implementations of Crestron, Extron, and BiAmp systems.
This role requires a blend of technical acumen, system integration expertise, and user-centric design thinking. The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end project execution, including:

The successful candidate will balance client advocacy with scope and financial management, ensuring expectations are met within contractual terms. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and the drive to hold teams accountable are essential.
What Your Typical Day Will Be
Manage all phases of AV projects: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
Review and interpret project documentation: RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, SOWs, technical/design documents, project plans, and schedules.
Execute existing Project Plans in alignment with subordinate plans (communication, scope, change, schedule, quality, and staffing).
Create or revise Project Plans and supporting documentation as needed.
Manage internal project staff and delegate tasks effectively.
Ensure successful delivery of project milestones from initiation through closeout.
Proactively monitor budgets, timelines, and deliverables across active projects.
Provide regular reports to internal and external stakeholders on cost, schedule performance, and corrective actions for variances.
Lead internal and external project meetings (kickoff, closeout, status updates).
Coordinate with Project Coordinators and Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Collaborate with Sales, AV Engineering, and Scheduling teams for capacity planning and execution.
Work closely with AV Operations and Dispatch teams to align staffing with forecasted resource demands.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table

Minimum of 8 years of Audio Video Project Management and team leadership experience.
Technical Competency in AV Systems
Working knowledge of:
o Switching & Signal Transport Infrastructure
? Core and edge switching, AV-over-IP, HDBaseT, and Dante-enabled systems.
? Understanding of latency, bandwidth, and switch configurations in multi-room or large venue AV deployments.
o Control Systems Integration
? Hands-on experience with Crestron, Extron, and BiAmp systems.
? Implementation of DSPs, touch panels, and control processors.
? Knowledge of user interface design and automation principles to enhance usability and efficiency.
o Power & Equipment Infrastructure
? Power provisioning, rack system design, and environmental requirements for reliable AV hardware performance.
Project Management Capability
Skilled in planning, organizing, and controlling all work activities using PMI methodologies.
Experience managing AV projects ranging from short-term deployments to multi-phase, year-long installations.
Adaptability in managing shifting client needs and limited resource availability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and MS Project.
Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as required.

Education
Preferred: Degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Certification
Required: PMP (Project Management Professional).
Required: Manufacturer certifications from Crestron, Extron, and BiAmp.
Preferred: AVIXA certifications, including:
o CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
o CTS-I (Certified Technology Specialist - Installation)
Plus / Add Value: Experience and / or willingness to manage projects in other areas of construction including structured cabling, surveillance, access control, etc.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
