Summary About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a resident expert for the Omaha District in programming of the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) appropriation. Responsibilities Issuing implementing guidance to offices seeking funding for preparation of budget submission. Monitoring the execution of approved program for optimal utilization. Preparing special studies on matters such as financial management, cost, obligations, trends, and historical data. Monitoring trends to identify potential scheduling problem areas. Coordinating the preparation and review of technical data for periodic reports. Reviewing plans and specifications of planned contract activity for verification of current fiscal data in such documents as pertaining to or impacting planned programs. Recommending changes to smooth out peaks and valleys in the program as much as possible. Setting up schedules that reflect anticipated funding to be obligated and expended during each month of the current fiscal year and to forecast unused carry-out to the next fiscal year.
