Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to fulfill an immediate need within our finance team. This role focuses on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) responsibilities. We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running and contribute to the team during this crucial period.

While this is a temporary role, it has the potential to turn into a permanent position for the right individual.

Responsibilities

Accurately process invoices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Manage check runs and issue payments in a timely manner.

Process incoming donations and other forms of payment.

Perform daily reconciliations for deposits and ensure records are accurately maintained.

Communicate effectively with internal teams.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records for auditing purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally with AR and AP focus.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel expertise preferred).

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively within tight deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is a plus but not required.
