Job Description:

The Cost Accountant will support accounting processes related to cost analysis, inventory management, and financial reporting. The role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate cost tracking, analysis, and reporting to enhance overall decision-making and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and track production, material, labor, and overhead costs to support financial planning and reporting.

Assist in preparing budgets and conducting cost variance analysis, identifying areas of improvement or concern.

Maintain and update cost records, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data in the ERP system.

Contribute to inventory management, including cycle counts, adjustments, and reconciliations.

Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.

Partner with operational teams to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Generate financial reports and insights to guide business strategies and decisions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, with exposure to cost accounting being a plus.

ERP system experience; proficiency with NetSuite or similar platforms is advantageous.

Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
