Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

The role of a manufacturing engineer combines product design with process improvement to enhance installation efficiency, build quality, and reduce warranty claims. This position involves developing new part designs using SolidWorks and collaborating with various teams to streamline production processes.

Responsibilities

Develop new part designs using SolidWorks to improve installation efficiency and build quality.

Create detailed and layout drawings for production.

Collaborate with materials and chassis procurement teams.

Analyze and streamline production processes to eliminate waste.

Ensure proper fitment of parts during installation.

Support final assembly and sales teams with production and layout drawings.

Work through issues on the shop floor alongside other manufacturing engineers.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.

Experience with SolidWorks for product development and drawing creation.

Process improvement skills and waste reduction strategies.

Proficiency in reading and comprehending part drawings, wiring, and hydraulic schematics.

Strong communication skills and familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred, but an associate degree or relevant work experience is also acceptable.

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

2+ years of experience utilizing SolidWorks.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word.

Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Welding skills are a plus.

Understanding of 12V electrical and hydraulic plumbing systems.

Work Environment

The work environment involves exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and moving mechanical parts. Employees may encounter extreme temperatures. The noise level is usually moderate to loud. The role requires the ability to work well within a matrix organization. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union Grove, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.40 - $31.25/hr.
