Oishii Farm Corporation seeks an Engineering Program Lead, Mechanical in Jersey City, NJResponsibilities: Work with cross-functional teams - Engineering, Maintenance, Farm Operations, Plant Science, Business, and Construction - to deliver specialized technical solutions. Develop Strategic Local & Global Manufacturing & Vendor Partnerships, and a deep Professional Engineer network to allow for rapid deployability of vertical farms at scale in various geographies. Collaborate deeply with the construction team to ensure drawings are executed correctly in the field, coupled with frequent QA and QC, and assist with Overall Facility Layout and Design such as Structural design, HVAC, Plumbing, Floor Foundations & Levelness, and similar infrastructure integrations. Develop bespoke engineering solutions for systems such as conveyors, robot arms, racking systems, & water systems and create appropriate design documentation and maintenance guidance. Participate in efforts to increase engineering bandwidth through recruiting and ongoing training of engineering personnel and technicians, etc. Lead the development of holistic facility CAD design and utilize advanced CAD tools such FEA (Finite Element Analysis), Surface Modelling, Reference Assemblies, Motion Simulations, Tolerance Analysis, and Structural/fluid Simulations. Develop, refine, and deploy company-wide CAD (Computer Aided Design) & PDM (Product Data Management) software, Standards & Specifications, CAD Training programs, GD&T standards, and Installation Guides for Oishii's Vertical Farms and their bespoke sub-components.Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or a related role. Work experience with: o Computer Aided Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering (CAD, CAM, CAE); o mechanical design and developing systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components; o Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and full life cycle manufacturing, including material selection and machining processes; o rapid prototyping techniques such as CNC routing, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication; understanding of machine design components and PLC/control systems; and,o leading multiple mechanical system design projects from requirements generation through manufacturing.Salary: $81,500 to 85,800/year To apply, email resume to: Oishii_Recruiting@oishii.com.
