Overview
Bowhead seeks a Program Analyst to join our team supporting the program office for NSWC Corona - Corona Division in Norco, California. The Program Analyst will work directly for the ACIO, DACIO and Program Manager. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and strong communication skills. In addition to traditional duties of an Administrative Manager, the position includes responsibilities related to Information Technology Purchase Requests (ITPR), software license management, and departmental budget tracking. The role requires active DoD Secret clearance. This is a 100% onsite position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
Corona Division is the Navy's premier independent assessment agent responsible for gauging the warfighting capability of Navy ships and aircraft by assessing weapons and integrated combat systems' performance, readiness, quality, and supportability.
Responsibilities
Create, edit, and distribute reports, presentations, and internal communications.
Submit, review and track Information Technology Purchase Requests (ITPRs) in accordance with internal policies.
Perform budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting on department expenditures.
Prepare budget summaries and spending reports.
Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage ACIO and DACIO calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel for department staff.
Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute notes.
Maintain a filing system for efficient retrieval and security.
Coordinate communication and information flow between department personnel and other departments.
Support departmental projects and initiatives.
Track project progress and deadlines and assist with status updates and documentation.
Maintain accurate databases and logs related to department activities.
Enter, update, and verify data in various systems to ensure completeness and compliance.
Generate standard and custom reports as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in government contracting, IT procurement, or budget tracking is highly preferred.
Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information responsibly.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the minimum Secret level.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive hand motions such as typing.
