Join our dynamic team as an Embedded Software Engineer contractor, where you will be at the forefront of innovation in the defense aerospace industry. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge unmanned aviation systems, enhancing situational awareness in the battlespace. This role offers a 6-month engagement, perfect for those eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and test embedded software for next-generation unmanned systems.

Integrate software with hardware components and perform debugging activities.

Develop real-time applications focusing on Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Document software designs, processes, and results clearly and effectively.

Essential Skills

Experience with robotics and/or drone systems.

Proficiency in rapid prototyping using Ardupilot or PX4.

Skill in embedded control systems and control algorithm tuning.

Familiarity with ROS or MAVLink.

Proficiency in C++ and Embedded C programming.

Understanding of RTOS and embedded systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience designing and delivering software solutions in the defense aerospace sector.

Ability to work in a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Moorpark, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $96.00/hr.
