MANAGER, FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS (FP&A) St. Jude Medical, an Abbott Labs Co. / Plymouth, MN Responsible for managing day-to-day financial accounting, reporting, planning and analysis activities for a manufacturing site . Responsible for financial accounting, reporting and analysis, including completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities in compliance with corporate financial policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Develop and support Financial Plans, Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), Long Range Planning (LRPs), and consolidation activities . Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trending, and current business information. Ensure proper tracking of commitments and expenditures along with proper accounting treatment and timely capitalization of assets. Provide financial leadership and guidance to operations, including Discounted Cash Flows (DCF), Returns on Investments (ROIs), writing of Returns on Capital Employed (RCEs), Post Completion audits , interpreting Corporate Financial Manuals (CFMs) and topics, as well as issues around the treatment of projects and fixed assets. Partner with IT to support financial systems, including SAP or related financial reporting or Enterprise Resource Planning (EPR) system. Establish and/or enforce internal controls safeguarding financial interest and providing guidance and counsel to operating and financial staff. Supporting internal and external audits according to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and in interaction with Corporate Audit and SOX Program Management Office (PMO). Serve as finance lead for site initiatives to influence financial decisions with site director, senior operational excellence manager and senior supply chain manager. Ensure manufacturing site meets its financial commitments. Identify Cost Improvements for the Plant and track these improvements on an ongoing basis. Advise site leadership from a financial perspective and ensure they have the correct financial information to make informed decisions. Support strategic and cross-divisional projects and teams. Bachelor s or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or in a related field of study with at least 3 years of professional experience in the following: (i) financial accounting, reporting and analysis, including completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities in compliance with corporate financial policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); (ii) developing and supporting Financial Plans, Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), Long Range Planning (LRPs), and consolidation activities; (iii) developing detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trending, and current business information; (iv) discounted Cash Flows (DCF), Returns on Investments (ROIs), writing of Returns on Capital Employed (RCEs), Post Completion audits; (v) financial systems, including SAP or related financial reporting or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; (vi) supporting internal and external audits according to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance; and (vii) identifying Cost Improvements for the Plant and tracking these improvements; and (viii) managing day-to-day financial accounting, reporting, planning and analysis activities for a manufacturing site.
