Summary You will serve as a IT Specialist (CUSTSPT) in the Comand IT Support Division of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. Responsibilities You will provide assistance to a wide range of afloat and ashore customers at both the classified and unclassified level. You will answer in-bound help desk calls, create new help desk tickets and provide advice and assistance to customers on both routine and complex issues assist them in creating help desk tickets vis NAVY Enterprise Service Desk (NESD). You will assess the problem tracking and resolution database to input, update and track customer issues and resolutions. You will analyze problems and provides resolutions within the sphere of authority. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Using diagnostic skills to identify and trouble-shoot customer issues, including complex or unusual problems encountered by customers to both understand and resolve customer problems; 2) Knowledge of a wide variety of applications and operating systems sufficient to provide support to customers ashore and afloat; 3) Maintaining service desk procedures, identifying/resolving operational issues, and updating recall lists; 4) Utilizing various @types of electrical and electronic equipment and interactive multi-media devices for communications, including but not restricted to telephone, email, MFDs, remote access, and Microsoft Flankspeed and associated application.
