Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting overall accounting operations. Responsibilities:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.

Handle sales tax filings and address related inquiries from government agencies.

Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly documented.

Assist with tax planning and provide recommendations to optimize corporate tax strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits and financial reporting.

Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records and tax filings.

Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial documents and reports.

Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.

Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and filing processes.

Proficiency in preparing and managing corporate tax returns.

Expertise in recording and reconciling journal entries.

Solid understanding of general ledger management and financial reporting.

Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Familiarity with current tax laws and accounting standards.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
