Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Richardson, Texas. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in corporate tax and accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Manage sales tax reporting and related documentation.

Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Oversee general ledger activities, including reconciliations and adjustments.

Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting discrepancies and improve processes.

Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and reports.

Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.

Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards.

Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Provide recommendations for improving accounting practices and workflows.

Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.

Strong knowledge of sales tax processes and regulations.

Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger activities.

Familiarity with corporate tax returns and related accounting practices.

Ability to analyze financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
