Wells Fargo is seeking a Small Business Banking Relationship Management Director in Business Banking as part of Consumer and Small Business Banking.
This role leads a centralized and in-market team focused on deepening relationships with Business Banking customers (annual sales of $500K-$25MM) through exceptional sales, service and risk management. Responsibilities include team leadership, hiring, coaching, performance management, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The director will also collaborate with product partners and credit teams to drive alignment and success.

In this role, you will:
Manage and develop a team to meet the objectives of our expanding business by partnering with various business teams to develop and implement business strategies
Enhance and grow the business by increasing growth opportunities, market share and wallet share of customer's total financial service needs
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
Lead team to effectively assess customer needs and provide solutions to meet business objectives
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers to ensure we provide the full range of business product solutions
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Banking Relationship Management
Develop and guide a culture of talent development and performance to meet business objectives and strategy within Business Banking functional area
Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing, and developing, driving performance management to ensure business goals are met
This LO position has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position includes assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Individuals in a LO position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Small Business Banking Relationship Management leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of business banking: relationship management, acquisition, credit, deposits, treasury management, merchant service, foreign exchange and payroll services
Proven leadership experience in Business Relationship Management and banking, with a strong track record of building and leading high performing teams
Experience with developing and executing business vision, strategies, and goals
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to influence, engage, and communicate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders
Commercial credit or business credit underwriting experience
Knowledge and understanding of Small Business Lending Operations products and services
Job Expectations:
Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary
