Job Title: Production Lead

Job Description

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations and ensuring the timely production of high-quality products. This role involves leading a team of production workers, monitoring production schedules, upholding quality control measures, and optimizing production processes to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.

Develop and implement strategies to achieve production goals, meet customer demands, and minimize downtime.

Monitor production schedules to optimize productivity and minimize waste.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular safety inspections.

Train and mentor production employees to maximize performance and commitment.

Uphold quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards.

Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

Troubleshoot production issues or machinery breakdowns, coordinating with maintenance personnel.

Regularly assess production processes and equipment for opportunities for optimization or upgrades.

Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of production management principles, techniques, and methodologies.

Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in fertilizer or agriculture is preferred.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical ability to perform tasks that include standing, sitting, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using equipment and tools.

Ability to work on feet for 8-10 hour shifts and to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, humid conditions, and dust. The role requires physical activity including lifting and standing for extended periods. Employees should be prepared for an active and engaging work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of El Dorado, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $45760.00/yr.
