The Modules Production Supervisors direct and manage production operations for the Modules Product Line.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct and manage the manufacture and assembly of product to ensure manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Participate in continuous operational improvement through the use of six sigma, lean, 5S, kaizen, VSM and other tool sets with the help of the Hale CI Manager.

Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.

Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.

Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Knowledge of safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Familiarity with inventory control procedures and systems.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, management, and other departments.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Six Sigma Green belt or Black Belt certification preferred.

Working knowledge of Value Stream Mapping and Lean Manufacturing.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or over 40 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to various workplace hazards, including chemicals, machinery, and noise. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential.
