Job Summary:

This graduate-level course provides a rigorous exploration of legal frameworks and contractual mechanisms that shape the real estate development lifecycle. From due diligence and acquisition through financing, construction, leasing, and asset management, students will gain a practical and theoretical understanding of how law intersects with real estate practice. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, case analysis, and real-world application of legal principles across asset classes and development phases.

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline/topic and a record of productivity and professional achievement.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution; active bar license preferred

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in real estate law, including development, finance, and asset management

Demonstrated teaching experience (online experience preferred)

Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex legal concepts for diverse learners

Commitment to academic excellence, accessibility, and student-centered instruction

Experience with online learning platforms (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas, MS Teams) is a plus

Familiarity with real estate law as it applies to zoning, environmental regulations, leasing, and tax considerations

Ability to foster inclusive, engaging, and professionally relevant online learning environments
