Location Description Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start. Responsibilities Big company opportunity. Overview: Post Consumer Brands is seeking motivated interns for a 12-week summer experience in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations where you'll build skills, drive impact, and launch your career. This immersive program offers hands-on exposure to plant operations, engineering projects, and continuous improvement initiatives within a purpose-driven, consumer-focused organization. Key Responsibilities: Interns will lead and support impactful projects aligned with business needs and personal interests, including: Project Execution Manage or assist with small to mid-sized capital projects Collaborate cross-functionally to implement solutions Provide engineering support to enhance plant performance Data & Process Optimization Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities Recommend and implement changes to boost efficiency and reduce costs Drive continuous improvement initiatives People & Process Development Develop and deploy standard work processes Assess workforce dynamics and support training enhancements Learn to lead change and influence team outcomes What You'll Gain: Meaningful Experience:?Contribute to real projects from day one Professional Development:?Build skills in engineering, operations, and leadership Mentorship & Collaboration:?Work alongside experienced professionals invested in your growth Career Exploration:?Discover your interests through diverse project exposure Future Opportunities:?Potential for full-time or Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) roles at any of our nationwide facilities Project scopes will be finalized 30-60 days prior to the internship start to align with current business priorities and individual career goals. Qualifications Candidates must be pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree or at an institution with an accredited program in Engineering graduating December 2026 or May 2027 Completed coursework and have an understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies Proven leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in teams Strong written and oral communication skills The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take action A high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technology as a decision-support tool Ability to identify and evaluate tactical methods to achieve objectives, identify deviations from the plan, and facilitate resolution Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization Previous internship or work experience (strongly preferred) Interest in the consumer packaged goods / manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Post Consumer Brands after graduation (strongly preferred) We are unable to proceed with candidates who require visa sponsorship now or in the future Additional Program Information & Perks Offering competitive compensation Access to a dynamic internship event program including development, networking, & social activities Eligible for subsidized housing & $2,500 relocation stipend Cereal galore - enjoy a variety of cereal options, coffee and popcorn, for free.
