Position Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to lead the quality assurance efforts across a suite of applications built on Microsoft Power Platform and integrated enterprise systems. This role is ideal for a senior-level QA professional with a strong background in manual and automated testing, and must have hands-on experience with Playwright automation and scripting . The successful candidate will design and execute comprehensive test strategies, lead defect tracking and reporting, and contribute to continuous quality improvements in agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Test Strategy & Planning:
Define, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Develop risk-based testing strategies aligned with business priorities and release timelines.
Manual & Automated Testing
Perform hands-on manual testing of Power Platform applications (Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate workflows) and integrations.
Develop and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred) for UI and API validation.
Ensure test automation is integrated into CI/CD pipelines and supports rapid release cycles.
Test Execution & Defect Management
Execute test cases, identify defects, and track them to closure using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or equivalent.
Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to validate fixes and conduct retesting.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to ensure quality is embedded in every phase of the software development lifecycle.
Provide QA estimates, test progress reports, and contribute to retrospectives and process improvement initiatives.
Performance & Security Validation
Assist with performance testing and validation of Power Platform applications and external APIs.
Validate application behavior against access control rules and security requirements.
Best Practices & Standards
Promote QA best practices, test automation standards, and reusable test frameworks within the team.
Mentor junior QA staff and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field
15+ years of overall experience
Must have Playwright automation and scripting experience. Candidates without hands-on Playwright experience will not be considered.
5+ years' experience with functional web testing.
5+ years' writing and executing test plans.
Experience testing, UI/UX, writing test plans, SharePoint/Power Apps test experience
Experience with Azure DevOps or Microsoft Test Manager and test automation a big plus
Previous experience working with Agile methodology, preferably SCRUM.
Must be organized, a self-starter with the ability to grasp new concepts and applications
Must be able to work under tight deadlines to meet application deployments during each sprint.

The likely salary range for this position is $99,450 - $134,550. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
