We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Beltsville, Maryland. This is a direct-hire position that offers full benefits! In this role, you will oversee essential financial operations, including payment processing and account reconciliation, while maintaining strong relationships with customers. Responsibilities:

Manage the accounts receivable cycle, including generating invoices, posting payments, and reconciling accounts.

Process and deposit payments received via credit card, check, and wire transfers.

Handle refunds and ensure they are processed accurately and promptly.

Monitor customer orders on hold and apply deposits to facilitate their release.

Address billing discrepancies and provide thoughtful responses to customer inquiries.

Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliation.

Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and customer service to resolve payment or account-related issues.

Maintain accurate records of all receivable transactions and distribute recurring accounting reports.

Handle incoming physical mail and ensure timely processing.

Support special projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and enhancing reporting capabilities

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Proven ability to work independently while taking initiative in solving problems.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams and clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with cash applications, billing functions, and commercial collections.
