Maintenance Engineering Technician (Night Shift)

Location: Lodi, CA

Duration: Contract (with potential extension)

Pay Rate: $34/hr + 11% night shift differential + weekly overtime

Position Overview

Kelly Engineering is seeking five (5) Maintenance Engineering Technicians to join our client, a global leader in diagnostics, at their Lodi, CA facility . These are night shift roles supporting high-volume, automated manufacturing operations. This is a great opportunity for mechanically minded technicians with automation experience who want stable work, guaranteed overtime, and competitive pay close to home in the Central Valley.

Shift & Schedule

Night Shift (D Shift): 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Schedule: Wednesday - Friday, alternating Saturdays

12-hour shifts = built-in weekly overtime at time and a half

Key Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated filling and packaging equipment.

Support TPM activities (CIL, centerlines, PMs, changeovers).

Partner with Engineers and Operators to reduce downtime, micro stops, and machine faults.

Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting.

Document downtime and maintenance activities in systems.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience.

Background with automation lines, robotics, PLCs, and vision systems preferred.

Comfortable with physical work (standing, squatting, moving equipment).

Industry background flexible: medical device, food processing, dairy, wineries, or other automation-driven facilities.

Must be comfortable working night shifts .
