Technician Associate

Our client, a leader in the utility industry, is seeking a Technician Associate to join their team. As a Technician Associate, you will be part of the engineering department supporting grid modernization and transmission projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technician Associate

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Pay Range: $22.50

What's the Job?

Utilize DDS software to analyze distribution utility poles for grid modernization equipment and line rebuilds.

Track project due dates and collaborate with the design team and project managers to ensure high-quality designs.

Assist in resolving routine problems and provide support to team members as needed.

Plan and prioritize work to meet company demands while maintaining accurate records.

Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, assisting in the preparation of technical reports.

What's Needed?

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related utility industry experience; or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Basic computer literacy and knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations.

Ability to work collaboratively and seek assistance when necessary.

Strong organizational skills to plan work in accordance with AEP standard practices.

Willingness to travel across service territory for project support, with overnight travel as needed during storm assessments.
