Purpose and Scope:
The Marketing Lead will be fully dedicated to a priority program within the Astellas Rx+ Business Accelerator, DIGITIVATM. The DIGITIVA solution is a combination of a hardware medical device, a patient-facing mobile app, and clinical services that supports patients in self-managing their heart failure while also creating the opportunity for earlier intervention by their healthcare provider via the capture of key biomarkers.
The Marketing Lead will own the development, execution, and optimization of all marketing activities for the DIGITIVATM program. This role will lead patient and healthcare professional (HCP) marketing strategy, oversee development of all collateral and communications, manage trade show participation, and ensure all activities align with brand guidelines, compliance regulations, and the program's commercial strategy.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented marketer who thrives in a regulated healthcare environment and is comfortable with the hands-on execution required to ensure cross-functional internal/external/agency teams deliver on the overall brand marketing strategy.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Product Marketing & Commercialization
In collaboration with program leadership, drive the development of an overall product marketing strategy for Digitiva, ensuring alignment with commercial milestones and sales strategies.
Own the development of marketing campaigns and tactics that drive customer awareness, product adoption, engagement, and retention.
Marketing Content Management & Communications
Drive development of all patient-facing and HCP marketing collateral from concept through delivery, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
Oversee and manage external marketing agencies to deliver consistent and impactful messaging & collateral.
Take ownership of, and revise as needed, existing brochures, website content, and other collateral to keep materials current and aligned with program objectives.
Collaborate with Astellas corporate communications to plan and execute press releases and media opportunities.
Events & Trade Shows
Manage all DIGITIVA-related trade show activities including sponsorships, booth design, logistics, and registration.
Partner closely with the DIGITIVA Partnerships Lead to align event participation with overall program goals.
Oversee & Maintain the DIGITIVA Website
Manage content updates, ensure brand consistency, coordinate with internal teams and/or external web development vendors for design enhancements, and track performance analytics to optimize user engagement.
Compliance & Approval Processes
Serve as the primary liaison with the Materials Approval Process (MAP) team to ensure all marketing materials meet compliance, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Maintain thorough documentation and version control for all marketing assets.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design, or related field; Master's preferred.
5+ years of marketing experience in healthcare, medical devices, med. tech, digital health and/or pharmaceuticals, with demonstrated experience in regulated industries.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience managing agencies, vendors, and internal approval processes.
Prior experience managing trade show sponsorship process and annual planning/budgeting.
Experience managing and updating websites (WordPress, Drupal, or similar CMS) and collaborating with web developers/designers for site enhancements.
Portfolio of prior work should demonstrate a mix of strategic planning and hands-on creative execution.
Demonstrated success in managing multiple marketing projects from concept to delivery.
Experience working cross-functionally with compliance, regulatory, sales, and medical affairs teams.
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
Proficiency in presentation and design tools (PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent).
Preferred:
Experience in cardiovascular medical devices or digital health solutions.
Familiarity with creative storytelling and narrative design for novel/early stage products with limited clinical data.
Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth medical technology environment.
Salary Range
$110K - $150K (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, based on experience)
