As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to an access control post in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. You will remain highly visible to provide a reassuring presence and deliver exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and assisting with any security-related concerns. This position may involve working in areas with limited on-site facilities, such as rustic guard shacks or portable restrooms. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
