Marketing Research
Marketing plays a vital role in advancing Equitable's business, brand, and mission: to help our clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives. Equitable's marketing team is responsible for advertising & brand management, digital and multi-channel marketing, customer experience and strategy, experiential marketing, and marketing operations and technology, leveraging consumer insights. We are close partners and collaborators with our lines of business (retirement and protection solutions) implementing strategies and programs that advance our shared goals, as well as strategic leaders in cross-enterprise client and advisor engagement.
We are seeking an ambitious talent to join the marketing research and insights team as in intern in the summer of 2026. MBA candidates and rising seniors looking to develop marketing insights and analytics skills outside of the classrooms are urged to apply.
The ideal internship candidate will have relevant coursework, internship(s), and interest in marketing research, insights or analytics.
This position will work closely with members of the marketing research and Insights team, along with cross-functional business partners. The Market Research and Insights intern will use their educational background in marketing to assist the company while also learning and gaining experience on-the-job.
The Market Research Intern will assist the team across a variety of insights & analytics tasks, which includes, but not limited to:
Help design and develop market research surveys in support of internal clients' strategic priorities and business decisions
Assists with research initiatives including both qualitative & quantitative from both primary and secondary sources
Programs surveys for department run projects using in-house survey development tool
Analyzes research data for specific projects and use cases, with an eye to uncover insights that can drive the business
Skilled with requirement gathering and documentation of requirement specification for reporting and research efforts
Assists managing vendor relationships via effective communications and managing a project via its lifecycle adhering to a timeline and budget
Data processing and reporting using PowerPoint
Supports cross functional teams by developing data driven insights and recommendations
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Dates: Nine week program starting in early June 2026
Location: Remote
Hourly Rate: $22/hour
Qualifications
MBA candidate or rising senior in a Bachelor's degree program
Knowledge of market research methodologies
Working knowledge of statistical analytics software, such as Q software or SPSS
Knowledge of survey programming, particularly Qualtrics
Advanced in Microsoft Excel
Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly in a fast-moving environment
Self-starter with leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage time and work effectively in a virtual work setting
Ability to work during the full 9-week program

Market Research: Knowledge of market research; ability to collect, collate and analyze information about existing or potential markets and market needs.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Storytelling: Knowledge of concepts and ability to plan, create and present business proposals, initiatives and ideas by storytelling actual business scenarios that are situation-specific, engaging, memorable and persuasive as compared to one-way, fact-based presentations.
