A Glimpse of the Job
Texas A&M University's College of Architecture is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Executive Assistant II to support the Dean. This pivotal role requires a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced academic environment and is committed to excellence, growth, and continuous improvement. You will o rganize and streamline communication between the Dean's Office and other departments, faculty, and external stakeholders as you ensure alignment of office operations with the college's strategic goals. Your drive for continuous improvement enables you to a nticipate needs and proactively identify opportunities to support the Dean's vision. And as the Executive Assistant, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Dean, managing daily operations, coordinating communications, and ensuring alignment with the college's long-term goals.
Opportunities to Contribute
Executive Support to the Dean
Provides executive-level administrative support to the Dean, including scheduling, travel, and correspondence.
Coordinates meetings, prepares materials, and tracks follow-ups.
Leads planning and logistics for Dean-hosted events and visits.
Manages confidential documents and communications.
Supports strategic initiatives, policy interpretation, and special projects.
Serves as liaison and communicates priorities on behalf of the Dean.
Dean's Office Operation and Management
Manages daily operations and communications for the Dean's Office
Develops and evaluates internal policies and administrative procedures.
Coordinates assignments, maintains records, and supports strategic initiatives.
Prepares reports and supports decision-making with data and analysis.
May oversee event planning and policy implementation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years of experience in office administration.
A well qualified candidate will have the following:
Experience in higher education.
Ten years of experience in office administration.
Demonstrated ability to implement best-practice in office management.
Proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and initiatives.
What you need to know
Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 (commensurate to selected hire's experience).
