THE OPPORTUNITY
The Wire Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and administration of the Wire Operations Department. Day-to-day operations and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Manages daily operational function of the Wire Department. Manages daily supervision, support, review and signing authority approvals for the wire operations team and its processing of wires, record retention management, daily balancing, monthly certifications, and other miscellaneous assignments. Provide superior customer services and/or assistance to bank personnel and bank customers. Maintain compliance of banking policies and procedures with an emphasis in customer confidentiality and applicable laws as they pertain to wire processing. Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Performs all duties in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Manages all processes for U.S. Dollar and FX incoming and outgoing wire transfers in various queues in multiple Wire Transfer Systems through either Society for Worldwide Inter Bank Financial Telecommunication (S.W.I.F.T) or the Federal Reserve.
In depth knowledge to support and oversee day to day operations.
Monitors for potentially fraudulent activity, to ensure no loss to the organization. Coordinates cross-functional communication to resolve fraud situations and proactively provides recommendations to avoid fraud.
Analyzes current processes to identify process improvements to identify and reduce risk, proactive monitoring and makes recommendations to management.
Define reporting needs and implements metrics to monitor current and emerging risk trends, issues, and opportunities related to strategy and goals.
Interacts with Business Partners needed. Works effectively across the organization to maximize company resources.
Establishes and ensures compliance with departmental standards and processes to increase production and accommodate work volumes toward enhanced customer satisfaction.
Supports all department audits; locates and delivers wire samplings to auditors; assists in communicating and answering auditor's questions.
Maintain a Satisfactory Audit rating.
Develops and maintains wire standards and desk top job aids for the Wire Department.
Provides monthly tracking volumes and data to management.
Leads by example, assumes responsibilities where a gap needs to be filled. Sets high standards and follows established bank policies and procedures and adheres to audit requirements.
Provides direction, leadership and motivation to ensure that the department team achieves service and operational goals.
Manages the day-to-day operational functions of the department.
Design and implement effective processes and controls for safe and efficient operations.
Thoroughly understands the wire systems, how they interface, who the appropriate parties to engage in troubleshooting are, and establish an escalation process for every silo in the chain.
Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions.
Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning and counseling. Communicate expectations and provide regular feedback, praise, and corrective action as appropriate.
Develop personnel skills through training and coaching.
Manage, support, coach and train staff.
Participate with Disaster Recovery Team to design, implement and test effective business continuity procedures.
Advise management on an adequate FTE allocation for current and anticipated wire volume.
Assures high quality and friendly customer service.
Develops effective relationships across levels and functions to achieve business objectives.
Resolves customer inquiries/complaints and situations in a positive, professional, and efficient manner.
Promotes effective service environment.
Approves transactions within established guidelines.
Identify and mitigate audit operational risk.
Expense control for the department.

SALARY RANGE
The full-time base salary range for this position is $68,000.00 - $98,000.00 USD a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
