The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
The Nevada Health Authority is hiring for an IT Professional IV. This position will function as the responsible party over the Eligibility and Enrollment/Medicaid Express, Project Management Office (PMO). The incumbent will have oversight of all project related activities associated with the program and the contracted vendor. The incumbent will be engaged in and offer project management support in the development, examination, and evaluation of contracts for services. The incumbent is a senior level Project Manager responsible for guiding projects from concept to completion, ensuring projects goals are met and within allocated budget and timeline. Will work closely with leadership staff as well as Federal partners. The incumbent will supervise lower-level project manager positions, which will include planning and scheduling, creating detailed project plans, setting milestones, and establishing timelines. The incumbent will act as the bridge between the team and stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations and will be responsible for identifying potential issues early and developing contingency plans and ensuring deliverables meet the required standards and project objectives. The incumbent must have the ability to adapt and adjust plans and timelines as needed when priorities or resources shift will be pivotal. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and five years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, two years of which were at the advanced journey level or in a supervisory or project management capacity; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and five years of professional IT experience which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, relevant to the duties of the position, two years of which were at the journey level in information security; OR two years of relevant experience as an IT Professional III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
