This is a hands-on engineering role perfect for a detail-oriented problem solver with experience in design controls, verification testing, and technical documentation in the medical device or regulated product space. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms for the AVVIGO+ Image-Guided Therapy System. Work with medical imaging datasets-including data preprocessing, cleaning, augmentation, and annotation. Build and fine-tune deep learning models for image classification and segmentation tasks using frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow. Validate model performance with robust testing and iterative optimization. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including ML engineers, data scientists, and algorithm developers. Promote a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and patient-centered innovation. Ensure strict compliance with medical device regulations, patient safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field. 1-4 years of hands-on experience in machine learning and image processing. Proficiency with Python-based libraries and tools, including: PyTorch, TensorFlow Pandas, Scikit-learn, Scipy Demonstrated experience with medical image analysis or related domains. Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing ML models specifically for medical imaging applications (CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, etc.). Knowledge of computer vision techniques and real-time image analysis. Familiarity with Docker, GitHub, and Python package development. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical findings clearly to stakeholders. Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative R&D environment.
